This thermal gas mass flowmeters feature a straight-tube sensor that ensures that you get the most accurate data and repeatable accurate results.  This meter’s flow measurements are unaffected by the typical moderate pressure and temp. inlet variations.

4-point calibration across the flow range is also provided by the meter so as to improve the meter linearity output. Metering data collected can also be sent through the 0 – 5 VDC or 4 – 20 mA signal. The necessary analog – RS converter is available so you can collect and analyze the data on you PC.

Coriolis Mass Flow Meter

In measuring the Coriolis Effect on a large variety of essential mechanical devices, the use of the Coriolis Mass Flow Meter is employed. They are instruments relatively new compared to other flow meters and it did not become available for industries until the 80s. So, as you can see, they are relatively new to the market and bring new accuracy to measurement of highly sophisticated mechanisms but only of recent.

These Coriolis flowmeter devices vary in shapes and stylistic configurations. Well-known are those that come in one or two U-shaped flow tubes with attached inlets from one side and an outlet on the other. These are then enclosed in a sensor connected to electronic devices.

We have already identified that this effect is the sidetracking of objects in movement as based on a rotating reference point. This might be a little confusing to understand since it talks about rotation, movement, and angles as well as changes. This is why we will take a look at it in association with an easy to visualize children’s story.

In this story, there are two children on opposite ends of a carousel and they are observed to be passing a ball to and fro with each other. As the children see this activity, they come to follow a curved path sideways yet from the thrower’s perspective, it is deflected to the right direction in a counter-clockwise carousel movement. The deflection is actually running to the left or in a clockwise rotation.

Though this simple story does give you a simplified overall explanation of the Coriolis Effect, how can this function be utilized as a working method in the Coriolis mass flowmeter in measuring flows?
Materials, substances, objects and commonly fluids to be measured are allowed to run in these U-shaped tubes. There will be noted vibrations running through a right-angle direction to the flow.

Ever heard of coriolis flow meters? As its name suggests, it does exactly measure the amount of flow from a liquid or gas. It can either be sitting on the surface of a pipe or attached on walls where liquid and gas flow.

All over the world flow meters are used in processing for different industries. This article will give you an overview and a little more information about the use flow meters.

As mentioned above, some flow meters are attached through walls or sit on pipes to measure the through flow of a chemical be it liquid or gas. The flow meter type will depend on different factors. For instance the type of liquid or gas is determined: noxious, flammable or corrosive.

The type of substance determines the type of flow meter used. Other factors would also be the cost in putting in those flow meters and its implications. Sometimes a Coriolis flow meter can be portable and some devices are permanent.

So what exactly are the kinds of flow meters used for a certain process you may ask? The industries that deals with water and waste are very good examples of what flow meters utilized in helping us in.

In water pumping stations and sewage treatment plants, flow meters are used to regulate the amounts of water flow and aeration flow measurements. For those types of pipes that have raw sewerage flowing through them, clam on Coriolis flow meters can be used. In this case, we would not like to have any leakages, now would we?

With this type of sewage potentially spewing out poisonous material is not a good idea. It not only had risks of leakage but also contaminating other pipes that are carrying clean potable drinking water.

Within the Pharmaceutical industry, the clamp-on type flow meters are used in most of the areas where a sterile environment is needed. The flow meters and pipes that are used in industries that are manufacturers of drugs and other pharmaceuticals should also, obviously, be free from contamination. Putting flow meters on these tubes limits the break in sterility and a need for recalibration as the equipment is not constantly bombarded by the flow and does not degrade as easily.
